friends-1073437-mWant to pleasantly baffle people and brighten their day?

Yesterday, I walked into Wally World (as my brother calls it).

The cool air refreshed me as my eyes adjusted from the blinding sun.

Standing ten paces from the door was an older man with white air, sitting on a plastic chair. His blue uniform revealed he worked for the store.

I glanced at his name tag and said, “Hi, Richard.”

He smiled, looked at me, and his facial expression revealed that he was trying to remember who I was. (I had never seen him before)

I continued into the store to picked up some diapers for my daughter.

As the black conveyor belt carried the diapers toward the blond haired clerk. I said, “Hi Kerry. How’s your day?”

She brightened up and said. Good. She was baffled also and asked, “Do I know you?”

I smiled and said, “Just your name tag.”

She laughed and took my money.

As I passed Richard, I said, “Richard, have a good day!”

He smiled, looked slightly baffled, and waved me on.

Pay attention to this.

Both Richard and Kerry were in a better mood when I left them than when I first came.
